With almost 3 boys in our home, I have become quite the party planner. For both of my boys 1st birthdays we would rent out a clubhouse and invite all of our family and friends and celebrate with food and drinks. Amar's Theme was soccer and Aydin's was the minions. Party City never disappoints when it comes to it being a one-stop shop for everything you need. When you think about it, first birthdays end up really being for grown ups and not so much the birthday boy or girl. Their still too young to remember their party and way too young to play any games with the other kids or know what the heck is going on. I always like to take a million pictures so they can at least have memories when they get older.
Turning 2 is very exciting and they finally can enjoy themselves with whatever is planned. For Aydin's 2nd birthday we decided to have it right in our front yard. We rented a bouncy castle and a bubble machine that also came with chairs and tables for a very cheap price of $240 from Jumping Bunny's. Since the theme was Thomas and Friends, all the colors were blue and yellow. A small little party was exactly the perfect way to celebrate. It's not too chaotic and the kids actually end up enjoying themselves. There were approximately 8 kids in total. Thankfully, Aydin's birthday is in August, so it was hot enough for us to add some water to the bouncy house. It looked like way too much fun to miss out on so I, of course, decided to join the kids. The party started at 12 and ended at 5. In the pictures on this page you'll get to see how front/backyard parties are always the best for the summer. We had lots of cake and some pinyada fun as well. Pizza was ordered when the kiddos got hungry. At the end of the day, no one wanted to leave! The boys slept like babies that night and I finally got some needed rest.
After the age of 1 I like to ask my kids what they want to do for their birthdays. My now 5 year old decided to make his 4th birthday all about him by choosing different activities for the day and then coming home to our family and just enjoying time together. That's my kinda party!! Yesterday for his 5th birthday we surprised him around 7 P.M. with presents and cake. He wanted his uncle to spend the night and then go shopping the next morning to my oh so favorite place, Target!!! I'm telling you, this is definitely my kinda party.
On this blog post I have added plenty of pictures for you to get ideas on what exactly you want to do for your little ones next birthday. Now, I have to start the planning for my baby shower in March. I'm going for a black and white kind of vibe with a hint of gold added in.
