1/13/2017 0 Comments Ideas for Decorating Your homeWe moved into our home this past July, so that puts us right at 6 months. We have been renovating and decorating like crazy. So much more work is in the process of being done, that's why I'll only show one of the living rooms and the kitchen today. I remember thinking "Oh my god we are never going to find the home we want!" The number one thing I always looked at was the kitchen. The entire home could be perfect but if the kitchen wasn't big enough, it was a big NO for me. I am entirely blessed to have found such a perfect home and get so excited every time something new is being redecorated. The only work we did in the kitchen was a nice paint job. The color was very similar to what it was when we moved in, it just needed some freshness to it. Kitchen counter top bar area has to be my favorite thing in the house. There is so much space for having company over and just enjoying simple family dinners. We just recently changed the fabric on the bar stools to something that blends in with the living room area. You will see it in the YouTube video below. Living room #1 is so cozy and relaxing, it is the only area in the house (other than the bathrooms) that doesn't have a t.v. .The living room is very monochromatic so we painted one of the walls yellow and added silver throw pillows to make it pop, which by the way were designed by yours truly! Before and after pictures of the throw pillows that initially came with the living room sofas and a picture of the new throw pillows I designed are below. The silver adds so much brightness and sparkle. The sofas we purchased at Value City are very easy to clean and take care of, especially since our boys love to wipe their hands and draw on everything. Last but not least we have the coffee table that we purchased at Rooms To Go. It was made in India and it's the only one of its' kind. It brings out a little bit of a rustic feel to the room. The pictures above show you just how much the difference of changing the pillows to a shiny silver and the coffee table decor makes. It brightened up the entire living room and made it pop. |
